Tom Brady offers suggestion for DeChambeau-Koepka match

With less than a week to go until Bryson DeChambeau and Brooks Koepka square off in the fifth edition of “The Match,” two-time participant Tom Brady is offering up a last-minute suggestion.

On Thursday, Bleacher Report shared a video of DeChambeau, 28, hitting golf balls off the roof of the Wynn Hotel in Las Vegas, where the event is taking place, aiming at a enormous target on the grounds that featured Koepka’s mug. As the clip made the rounds on Twitter, it wasn’t long before Koepka, 31, caught his competitor in action.

“Keyword ‘giant’ … sounds challenging,” Koepka responded Thursday to the video of DeChambeau.

Brady, 44, who competed against DeChambeau in “The Match” this past July, later reacted to Koepka’s tweet by proposing a slight change of course.

“Can we incorporate a hole next Friday where you guys start at opposite ends and truly hit golf balls at each other?” Brady tweeted Thursday.

Easily one of golf’s biggest rivalries, Koepka’s apparent disdain for DeChambeau was on characterize in May in an interview during the PGA Championship. By September, however, the duo appeared to bury the hatchet by hugging it out at the Ryder Cup. Although given the recent Twitter exchanges, it seems the “feud” may be back on — by Friday, at the minimum.

The upcoming showdown between DeChambeau and Koepka will be a 12-hole event played at the Wynn Golf Club. This is the first time Kopeka is competing in “The Match,” while DeChambeau teamed up with Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers over the summer. The twosome defeated Brady and Phil Mickelson.
